Entrepreneurship

Part of MBZUAI's mission is to foster entrepreneurship and it has put in place a mechanism for incubating startups and for supporting entrepreneurs. Many of the university's faculty and students have immense potential to create startups with their promising ideas.

Next to the university's basic research and education aims, along with publishing papers, and creating an AI economy and community, MBZUAI wants to encourage students to take their AI ideas into production. To do this they'll go through the startup and commercialization journey, and be guided by a supportive government and forward-thinking university culture to become the next AI success story. Together with partners such as ADNOC and Hub71, MBZUAI will continue to develop incubators to support great ideas.

Despite the university being a startup itself, the student body is being recognised at national and international competitions through demonstrating their academic strength and problem-solving capabilities. Increasingly, faculty and students will become more active on GitHub and other such platforms to encourage varying aspects of innovation and entrepreneurship.

MBZUAI will become a catalyst for many years to come and act as an AI epicenter for technology transfer and innovation that is going to impact not just United Arab Emirates, but communities and sectors everywhere.
